Training Courses

Healthcare: Working Safely (Accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
A one-day course intended for all clinical, non-clinical and support staff working within acute care, primary care, ambulance trusts, mental health trusts, nursing homes, hospices, private healthcare and the social care sector.

An IOSH Healthcare: Working Safely certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully complete the written assessments.


Manual Handling
A half day course with an emphasis on practical rather than theory learning leading to an understanding of the Manual Handling Operation Regulations 1992 and other relevant legislation. The course includes a practical exercise demonstrating good lifting practice.

A more specialist course for those requiring specific training relating to special needs arising from injury or disability and/ or team lifting can be developed to the client’s needs. This is a one- day course.


Violence at Work/ Personal Safety
A one-day course covering areas of personal safety complying with the Suzie Lamplugh Trust guidance in this area. The course is tailored to cover client’s needs.
