| Salisbury
and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with
What No Safety Services Ltd have developed a scheme to be known
as Chamber Safety Net
This service has been designed to support businesses in the Salisbury
area in meeting their various Health and Safety duties.
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
every employer has a duty to appoint a named ‘competent person’
to assist them with the management of health and safety in the workplace.
Many businesses do not have a suitably qualified member of staff
to appoint as the ‘competent person’, in which case
the Chamber Safety Net service provides a named safety professional
who will hold an advanced qualification in health and safety practice
and be a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
The Benefits to a Chamber Safety Net Member will be:
- Provision of a named competent person for the duration of the
agreement.
- One-day health and safety audit and action plan report followed
by a follow up visit after six months.
- Telephone Helpline.
- Access to training opportunities provided for the Chamber.
- The facility to pay the annual subscription by monthly instalments.
